We have exciting news to share!
The play based on Mark Sakamoto’s book, a 2018 Canada Reads winner, Forgiveness: The Gift From My Grandparents, is opening this week. The book was adapted for the stage by Hiro Kanagawa.
We have joined efforts with Theatre Calgary to highlight the play, which is particularly relevant to the Nikkei community.

Both sets of stairs up towards the balcony seating level are lined with these posters, which were submitted for the 2022 Nikkei Survivor project. I would encourage you to come early to read about the family of your friends. Ask one of the volunteers for their location if you’re not sure where they are located.
