Get Involved!

The Calgary Japanese Festival “Omatsuri” wouldn’t exist without our dedicated and hardworking team of volunteers.   We are currently recruiting volunteers (18+) for our 2022 Festival to be held on August 13, 2022 at Max Bell Centre and hope you will consider joining our team.

We welcome all volunteers regardless of background and invite you to “Get Involved” with this annual celebration of Japanese culture.

All we require is a minimum 6-hour commitment on event day, your participation in a Volunteer Orientation Day (tentatively set for the evening of August 11) and your willingness to pitch in where required.  We have 2 shifts available, the AM shift starts at 7:30 AM to help with setup until 2:00 PM and the PM shift starts at 1:00 PM and will stay to 7:30 PM or until tear down has been completed .

Date and Time

Aug 13th Event Run from 10am to 5pm at Max Bell Centre

Morning shift 7:30am to 2:00pm

Afternoon Shift 1:00pm to 7:30pm

Transportation

We encourage all participants to use the LRT if at all possible as parking will be limited at the event.
